Collins Votes to Pass FAA Reauthorization Bill

Washington, D.C.—Today, Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) voted in favor of H.R. 3935, the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation (SGRLAA) Act.

"Since the Wright brothers’ first flight, America has been the world’s leader in aviation," said Collins. "This legislation ensures we continue that legacy of leadership by investing in critical infrastructure at regional and local airports, improving efficiency and operations at the FAA, and encouraging growth in the aviation workforce—with an emphasis on pilots and mechanics."

H.R. 3935 reauthorizes Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs for the next five years. 

The Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation (SGRLAA) Act, also referred to as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill, will ensure that the United States continues to lead the world in aviation by:

  • Providing long-term stability across the aviation system
  • Improving efficiency and operations at the FAA
  • Bolstering the General Aviation (GA) sector
  • Encouraging growth in the aviation workforce 
  • Investing in critical airport infrastructure across America
  • Maintaining U.S. leadership in safety
  • Improving the travel experience for passengers
