Congressional APP Challenge
The Congressional App Challenge is a nationwide event that allows students to compete with their peers by creating a software application, or "app," for the internet, personal computer, tablet, mobile device, or other platform of their choice. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is rapidly growing, and the competition provides students a great opportunity to explore their scientific curiosity.
All current middle and high school students (grades 6-12) who reside in or attend school in the 10th Congressional District are eligible to participate. Students may compete as individuals or in teams of up to four.
The winning app is then featured on the U.S. House of Representatives' website (www.house.gov), displayed in a U.S. Capitol exhibit, and demoed at the annual House of Code in Washington, D.C. in the spring.
