Collins Votes to Protect Parents’ Rights

March 24, 2023

Washington - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act. Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.), who voted in favor of the bill, issued this statement after passage:

“The Parents Bill of Rights is a key pillar of House Republicans’ Commitment to America. For too long, left-wing politicians and school administrators have kept parents in the dark about what’s being taught to their kids. Let me be clear—this is wrong. We must empower moms and dads to hold schools accountable because parents absolutely have the right to make decisions about their child’s education.”
