Washington, D.C.—Today, Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) issued the following statement after his amendment to clear the runway for commercial hypersonic travel in the future was signed into law by President Biden as part of H.R. 3935, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024.

"As hypersonic manufacturers work to make high-speed, high-altitude passenger travel a reality, the FAA must think ahead and be ready to certify and integrate these new aircraft into our national airspace," said Rep. Collins.

Washington, D.C.–This week, Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) will honor Jackson County Deputy Lena Marshall at a prayer vigil and flag laying ceremony hosted by Speaker Mike Johnson as part of National Police Week. 

Deputy Lena Marshall was shot in the line of duty on November 5, 2021, in Hoschton, Georgia, while responding to a domestic disturbance call. She succumbed to her gunshot wounds at a local hospital three days later.

Then, on Monday, April 8th, there will be a second event at the Historic Walton County Courthouse from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Both meetings are opportunities for Rep. Washington, D.C. – Today, the United States House of Representatives passed H.R. 7511, the Laken Riley Act, legislation to give ICE and state governments more tools in the fight against illegal alien crime. The bill passed overwhelmingly, 251-170, with 37 Democrats joining all Republicans in support.
