Monroe, GA–Today, Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) announced “Team Civical” from North Oconee High School (NOHS) as the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) winner for Georgia’s Tenth Congressional District. High school seniors Anyi Lin, Jack Rumpf, and Viveka Mehrotra designed a game-based app to help young people develop and practice the knowledge, beliefs, and behaviors needed to participate in civic life.

Washington, D.C.—Today, legislation authored by Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) passed the House of Representatives for a second time and is now on its way to the White House to be signed into law. H.R. 1734, the Testing, Rapid Analysis, and Narcotic Quality (TRANQ) Research Act, which was the first bill written and introduced by the freshman congressman, originally passed the House on May 11 by a vote of 425-0.

On Friday, December 8th, Tenth District residents may meet with members of Rep. Collins' staff from 8:15 A.M. until 10:00 A.M at the Oglethorpe County Farm Bureau. This event is an opportunity for constituents to discuss their concerns, share their priorities, or seek help with a federal agency.

Washington, D.C.— U.S. Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) released the following statement after his floor amendment passed the U.S. House of Representatives by voice vote:

"I am very glad to see the House pass my amendment to prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from implementing—or enforcing—the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA’s) economically harmful and draconian rule to limit the speed of watercraft over 35 feet to ten knots," said Collins. "This is a big win for coastal industries."
